IRiver Story

  While not exactly a household name, iRiver can usually be relied upon to cook up a quality product that’s a little different from the norm. Entering the e-book reader market with the Story, this all-white device looks a lot like Amazon’s Kindle. On more careful inspection its obvious the similarities are simply down to the colour and the presence of a full Qwerty keyboard below the 6in electronic paper screen, rather than any shared heritage. Velocity Micro Cruz Reader

  Velocity is a fairly new player in the E-Reader game and has come out with a very nice to look at, Android based E-Reader with a wealth of functions which are supposed to dwarf the Kindle series. With full support from the Borders book shop this E-Reader provides you with a colour, drag and drop book store to surf through and boosts a full colour user menu, which makes choosing a book a breeze. Emantic 7-inch E-Reader

  . The Emantic Ereader has been on the market for a while now but has been reduced in price only recently (check here for current price), making it a viable alternative for people around the world who are looking for a cheap but capable Ereader. Highlights include a Micro SD slot, which makes exchanging Ebooks and other files an easy thing, as well as a radio and PM3 player function.
