Awesome, finally an E-Reader with handwriting support! I always wondered why nobody hss though of that before, I guess it’s not rocket science and from a business reader point of view it’s almost essential to be able to make notes directly on the reader! Can’t wait!

It’s actually surprisingly good, at least if you are someone who handles chinese documents from time to time. I don’t know of any other reader which has the language signs installed, so essentially this is you only option.
The downside I would say is the backgroundlight, which is not bright enough for my taste. But then again I’m virtually blind without glasses… :-)

This is my new favourite toy.

Strengths:
Being able to take handwritten notes
Storage expandable to 32Gb
Great battery life
Compatable with most file types (including library ebooks)
Comes with leather cover
Decent (if quiet) music player
You can annotate .htxt files
Loads of great books free with it

Weaknesses:
The links don’t work in Epub files as it can’t read the .annot files
The music player doesn’t remember where you were which is a problem for audiobooks
The fast forward and rewind facility on audio is cumbersome and slow
The handwriting recognition is poor. It doesn’t learn your handwriting and the options it suggests are ridiculous and aren’t even proper words. It’s better just to take handwritten notes.

Despite the weaknesses, I think this is the best ereader I’ve seen. It has revolutionised my reading. I love being able to read and take notes in the train or in a meeting.

Hello Ian

Two questions to a user if you dont mind;

1) Can you save the handwritten notes and save/export them and are they readable format for others to read – also what size when saved is the page ?
2) Text to speech – can you use earphone rather than spken out loud ?

Many thanks

David
