I am looking to purchase an e-reader with some pda capabilities (basically something that can help me manage my busy life). It has to have a digital calendar and/or appointment software. I want it to have wireless internet so I can check my emails, and I would like to be able to read the occasional book on it? I read a lot on the go while waiting for kids, in-between appointments, etc.
Does anybody have a rec of an e-reader that would suit my needs? I just saw the Pandigital Novel and noticed it has an off-line calender, but its not reviewed here?

I would guess for your needs the best device is the Ipad, which in itself is not really an E-Reader anymore but more of a computer. When it comes to checking Emails there are only a couple of devices which can do that (the Iriver Story for example), but the Ipad is much better than all of them combined, simply because it's the newest device out there.

The Ipad is wayyy to expensive for me. I am looking to spend less than $200. Can you check email with the Ipad touch?? Apple says its also an e-reader.

I think what you want has not been invented yet! It sounds like you want/need to have a cheap tablet pc, the only things currently on the radar are the new ACER tablets, but they will not come out anywhere soon.
Have a look at the Ipad again or, if that is enough for, the Kindle also has internet capabilities, although very limited. Maybe also have a look at the new color nook, that also seems to have some PDA capabilities!

Considering only what is widely available, I'd recommend the Velocity Micro Cruz Reader (http://www.e-reader-reviews.co…..uz-review/) because it offers an 800×600 color LCD over Android 2.0 which will allow you to choose from several PIMs for only $110 from Borders Books.

I am currently looking at the Nook. It may be just what I need! It has a calendar w/ an alarm and internet capabilities along with being an e-reader. I also discovered that the Ipod Touch has a Kindle App and a scheduler App. I also noticed that Pandigital has a new color e-reader with touch and Wi-Fi. Hopefully, I will come to a decision before Christmas?
Thanks for the suggestion!
